Illustration

Below you can see a few examples of illustrations I created for various projects, including for use in the end titles of an award–winning short film, text treatment and logo work, and award ribbons. I have included a bit about each project below the gallery, click here to go directly to the descriptions: A Bit More About the Projects.

A Bit More About the Projects

Origin of a Hero

Origin of a Hero is an award-winning short film with a serio-comedic take on Batman’s origin story. I illustrated these images of the actors in the film for the motion graphics end titles, that I also created for the film. I leaned into the comic book style for the illustrations and end titles. I also created the key art for the film. You can take a look at both by following these links: Origin of a Hero Key Art and Origin of a Hero End Titles.

Krav Maga

I illustrated this image as part of a t-shirt concept for Krav Maga Unleashed in Pasadena/Los Angeles.

Public Discourse

I created this image to represent Boston Court’s Public Discourse program. I also created an all-black version that was stamped on wooden coins. Whenever someone attended a Public Discourse performance at Boston Court, they would receive one coin. The coins could then be exchanged for one free drink at the local pub—T. Boyle’s Tavern—right after the show. The idea was to encourage patrons to spend time together after the show so they could keep the conversation of the play going.

evil piñata

I illustrated this deranged-looking piñata as a logo for a fake company that Tubeman Entertainment put in the end credits for their film, The Nanny as a nod to an inside joke between the cast and crew during filming.

Siren Song

This design is a title treatment concept I created for a musical called, Siren Song that was in development in 2019/20. The show was about three sirens who live on an island and was inspired by the sirens of Greek mythology whose beautiful voices would lure sailors to their island and their demise.

Hollywood Fringe Festival Area Map

I created this accurate map for use in the 2023 Hollywood Fringe Festival guidebook I designed. In the guidebook, there is a listing above the map with the addresses and numbers to the corresponding locations featured here. To take a look at the entire guidebook, you can visit here: Hollywood Fringe Festival Guidebook.

JAG Gym #roadtorio

I created this image for JAG Gym—a gymnastics studio in Culver City, CA—for the summer of 2016. To tie-in with the Rio Summer Olympics, JAG Gym themed their summer camp “Summer Games Camp”. This imagery appeared on staff t-shirts as well as in the brochure I designed for that year’s camp. I pulled the “JAG gym” text treatment from the company logo and designed the rest to look like the Olympic torch. You can view the brochure here: JAG Gym Summer Games Camp Brochure.

Animal Illustrations

The animal illustrations were another design I created for JAG Gym. They were printed on ribbons to give to students in each of the younger students’ classes (up to about 6 years old). Each of the animals represents the name of one of the classes, which were all named after animals.
